Charles McGarraugh has over 23 years’ experience in the finance industry and is a proven finance professional with deep trading and business building experience across both traditional FICC and digital asset markets. Charles was appointed Chief Investment Officer and Principal of Altis Partners in April 2020. From 2000 to 2016, he served in various trading roles at Goldman Sachs. Following a relocation in London in 2009, Goldman named Charlie to its exclusive partnership in 2012, as a result of his leadership of the successful build-out of its market-leading European mortgages business. In 2014 he assumed a senior role in Goldman’s commodity department as Global Head of Metals trading and refocused on commodity markets. Charles left the bank in mid-2016 to join algorithmic sports trading company Stratagem Technologies in order to focus more deeply on machine learning and predictive analytics. There he served as Chairman and CEO until its sale to Blockchain.com in late 2018. He was Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Markets at Blockchain.com from 2018 until September 2022. He holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University, and graduated magna cum laude with distinction.

Stephen Hedgecock has worked in the financial industry for over 36 years with experience in corporate operations, implementing systematic trading programs, derivatives dealing, and business development. Since 2005 he has been a Principal of Altis Partners (Jersey) Limited (“Altis”), a prominent Jersey based Quantitative Macro Fund Manager, serving on the Executive board and individual Risk and Investment Committees. From 2000 until 2005 the same role was held at Altis Partners Limited in London. Current Directorships in Jersey include being a board Director at two funds organised by Altis, the Altis Master Fund ICC and Altis Digital ICC. In addition, an Executive board position has been held since March 2019 at Revoke Limited (including Revoke USA Limited from September 2019) a technology company offering services in personal data protection. Previous Directorships have been held with the AVI Frontier Fund LLP an investment vehicle participating in Vietnamese IPOs, Stratagem Technologies Limited, an algorithmic sports trading company, and in Gibraltar he served on the board of Hilltop Funds PCC Limited which invested in a wide array of Hedge Funds from late 2009 until early 2017. Prior to joining Altis Partners he held Directorship positions at QCM Limited and Sabre Fund Management Ltd both focusing on futures trading strategies.

Alex Brunwin has 32 years’ experience in the financial sector, with particular focus on technology and systematic strategies. Since 2000, Alex has been a Director and Principal of Altis Partners, initially at Altis Partners London Limited and then Jersey since 2006 at Altis Partners (Jersey) Limited. Current Directorships in Jersey include being a board Director at two funds organized by Altis, the Altis Master Fund ICC and Altis Digital ICC. In addition, a Directorship with a cyber security and technology firm, Defence Logic and software development business Vertix. In 1998 and 1999 prior to joining Altis Partners (Jersey) Limited, Alex worked as an external consultant for Banque Paribas, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, SBC Warburg Dillon Reed and Link Asset & Securities. He served as Director of Information Technology at Quality Capital Management from 1996 to 1998. From 1994 to 1996 he provided consultancy to Credit Lyonnais, Paine Webber, Midas, UBS and Paribas Capital Markets Tokyo. From 1992 to 1994, Alex was employed as analyst / programmer at Sabre Fund Management, having graduated in 1991 with BSc Hons in Physics from the University of Bristol.

Dr Joel Gibbons is Altis Partners (Jersey) Limited’s Deputy CIO and has been with Altis for over 15 years. Joel investigates potential improvements to Altis’ trading systems and monitors the positioning and market impact of portfolios. He is responsible for communicating research activity to clients and other departments within the firm, he also holds a permanent seat on Altis’ Investment Committee.

Joel has a Masters in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Bath. Prior to his move into finance, he was at the University of York (UK), where he wrote a doctorate on the solution of acoustic modelling problems by hardware parallel processing.

He is an Approved Person with the NFA and holds a Series 3 qualification.

Emma has worked in financial services for over 16 years. Prior to re-joining Altis Partners in November 2021, Emma held a 10-year career in Barclays Private Bank across a variety of strategic roles. Emma was the Country Business Manager and right-hand person to the Barclays Private Bank Head of Crown Dependencies, a critical role which managed a variety of complex operational and strategic activities across the entire Crown Dependencies business. During her earlier career in the Private Bank she held positions in the Family Office & UHNW team, as well as change management positions in specialist projects for the bank’s offshore investment platform & internal fiduciary business. Starting her career in 2007 with Altis Partners (Jersey) Limited as the firm’s fourth employee within their Jersey business, holding the position of Senior Investor Relations Executive for a period of 5 years. During this time, she managed the day-to-day client servicing for the businesses’ entire client book and led the operational due diligence processes within the team. At the time Altis was managing $1.6bn.

Kelly has over 18 years of experience in Compliance. Kelly re-joined Altis in May 2023 after spending over 10 years in fund and asset management compliance sector.

Kelly has extensive experience with international regulators having held positions in Jersey, UK and US. Kelly joined Deutsche Bank after Altis where she was the Deputy Head of Compliance for the Channel Islands business and also the Compliance Officer for the DBX platform spanning over 100 funds. Prior to her role in Compliance Kelly was the Trustee to the DBX Platform Manager, an Executive Director within its corporate services and also assisted the EMEA Funds team to implement and design their AIFMD Depositary services throughout its European offices. After leaving Deutsche Bank Kelly spent over five years as Compliance Officer and latterly Chief Compliance Officer and Executive Director at Autonomy Capital a Global Macro Hedge Fund with offices in New York, Switzerland, London and Jersey overseeing its compliance framework, implementing new products and regulations and its engagement with regulators. Kelly spent the last two years working as Head of Compliance Services for Altair Partners developing its compliance consultancy services providing bespoke assistance global fund administrators, asset managers and regulated business to remediate, implement or enhance their regulatory framework. Kelly regularly participates in regulatory working groups to assist the industry in shaping the regulatory landscape of Jersey.

Kelly holds a LLB law degree from the University of Northampton, Postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice Course (LPC), and an ICA International Diploma in Compliance (MICA)
